ER Policies

I recently just took over an ER that has some relatively significant problems. I am up for the challenge and hope to succeed in bringing this ER to where it should be. Does any ER nurse manager or ER nurses have any Policy and Procedures that they wish to share for guidance.

I would also be interest in what other ER departments require for their annual competencies.

Please email any ideas or suggestions to [email protected]

Thank you to all.

In what areas do you feel this department's P&P are lacking? And are there hospital-wide policies which may cover these deficiencies? In my ER we are currently undergoing a "learning experience" in utilizing hospital resources, instead of going into a project or problem assuming that we'll have to fight the hospital structure. ;)
