Hello, folks. I wanted to find out if high school diploma is one important requirements to be accepted into a nursing job position. I know this may sound so ridiculous but I have applied for a PN position at mental health facility in my local City of Ventura, Ca. They wanted me to provide a certificate of completion (which I do) in order to be accepted for the PN position. They're putting more weights ln HS diploma part than having a nursing license. Is this even common to some facility???

The high school diploma shouldn't matter. It is required to get INTO nursing school. The fact that you have your PN shows that you completed high school.
