Before I started my obs rotation, I was nervous and petrified, just out of high school my life experiences are quite few and I was afraid that I would feel embarrassed and awkard. However, during this rotation I witnessed numerous births. Seeing it in real life, is very different from watching it on tv or learning about it in class and after watching the pain and effort of labour and seeing the joy and happiness in the postnatal ward, I found it to be quite an emotional clinical rotation which I truly enjoyed. In fact I think obs might me for me (even if I did almost faint after seeing an instrumental birth...totally embarrassing) However apart from that.... I always loved my mom and was a good enough kid but after this experience, I gained a new respect for her. I think that this clinical rotation has had a great impact on my life.....as cheesy as that may sound! :)
Has anyone else ever had an experience that changed or enhanced how they feel about something or someone?

Yes, I feel like I am always influenced. I particularly loved my OB rotation. It was a great experience and I hope I will be lucky enough to find a position there eventually.
