I am currently doing my Adult nursing training, a diploma to be precise, and will be graduating next year April. I am looking forward to going back to Uni Sep/Oct 2013 for my top-up. My query is, I am in dilemma of choosing bewtween doing a Bsc Nursing or going in for Bsc Midwifery shortened programme. My ultimate goal is to migrate to Canada, and I will like to pursue a route that will aid my success in this and also allow me to register in Canada as a RN with ease.
I am looking at midwifery, hoping that will bridge the gap of obstetrics, and paedatrics that UK Adult nursing training lacks. I am aware that psychiatric experience will still be lacking, but something is better than nothing I think.
I will appreciate any form of advice or share of experience from everyone. If there is anyone who has gone through this, every information will be highly appreciated.
