Embassy Interview on May 11..Any Tips?

Heya all,

I will have my embassy interview on thursday..I'm so stressed..I would appreciate any tips from you ..good luck to all of us xxxxxxxxxxx:trout:

Make sure you photocpy everything you have - it makes it easier on them. Plus they dont put it on the list of things to bring with you but make sure you take your Visascreen...becasue they do ask for it. Dotn forget your photos.

Arrive early as you may get through quicker and take something to drink as you could have a long wait!

actually, i asked this question in another thread. this is concerning the documents under packet 3. i just received the instructional packet (that includes barcode sheet, ds230 (part 1 & 2,etc.) SueIp, am i going to send these documents ALL in originaL copies OR just photocopy. so in this case, i need to have all orig. during the interview? thanks!

Thank you everyone xxxxx..I had my embassy interview on thursday , it was ok, but my police clearance wasnt ready..they have'nt got it yet ...I left my passport there n I have been told that when they get it, they will contact so I go n pick up my passport with my immigrant visa..hope I won't wait long ..best of luck to all of u xxxxxxxxxxx:balloons:

by the way, when ur docs. were forwarded to the NVC prior to your interview, did you not include any police clearance together with your DS-230, NBI clearance, Birth Cert, etc? How come embassy is looking for it? i thought NVC will just forward all our orig. docs to the consulate, Manila?

Heya Pretse, no I didnt send my police certificate to NVC..when I had the embassy interview, I took with me all the documents needed according to packet 4..which includes: passport..picture..birth certificate ,police certificate ( the police should send it directly to the embassy),medical exams ( doctor should send it directly to the embassy) visa screen and my job offer xxxxxxx

^ what do you mean "police will send it directly to the embassy" ? From what country are you? I think in the Philippines, they just give the police clearance to the applicant

Hey, I'm from Israel.....no we can't get it from the police..the police station should forward it to the embassy ( same with the medical exam )..btw I recieved a call from the embassy today saying my visa is ready and I can go and pick it up..good luck all :balloons:
