Elmhurst Memorial

Does anyone work here? I recently received a job offer and just wanted to see if there were any nurses on here who could give me their perspective. It seems like a really great community hospital!

I've worked with some doctors who are on staff there in an office setting and thought they were great but I don't know about the hospital itself. They are building a new, beautiful building on the south end of town. If you find out anything let me know.

@ ufblondi are you a New Grad?

I have 8 mths experience...somewhat of a new grad

ufblondi, if you dont mind my asking, what kind of experience do you have? I recently applied there but didn't hear back.

I currently work on a kidney transplant unit at a level 1 trauma center in DC. I've noticed that if you don't apply within a day or 2 of a job posting you more than likely won't get a call because you will be so far down the list that they won't even look at you!

My in-laws have spent a considerable amount of time there and they both hold very high opinions of the place. Elmhusrt also has a very good reputation in and around surrounding communities. Hope this helps.

When I worked as a paramedic we were in the Elmhurst ED regularly. The staff were always pleasant and seemed happy to work there.
