eligibility in CA

hi everyone! I was the one with the username jey_ but then i could not retrieve that account no more so i just opted to make a new one.

so anyway, I am a graduate from the Philippines. BSN batch 2013. and i am a registered nurse back in the Philippines. and so I started my journey of applying for the eligibility so i could sit in for NCLEX. though I already knew about the concurrency issue thing. and i knew i have some going on somewhere in my cases. but i still went on. So i started this last May 2015. and just got their judgment from a piece of paper in the mail just today (July 29, 2016). and tada! to no surprise at all but still brought a vast disappointment-- I am not Eligible. it has been 14 freaking months. and it all just came to this. but anyway, they are requiring me to retake my medical surgical nursing with its clinical practice. its a relief knowing that I only need to retake one class. but what i found really difficult and annoying is that most school they have provided me (which are in the LA area) does not accept kind of program where you just enroll a certain class/course. I found one which is still accreditted by the CA BRN, but then they are requiring me to take TOEFL before i could sign up for the waiting list for that certain course this JAN2017. so I was like, why is TOEFL needed. when we our nursing education back home is base in english. we are even have better comprehension than them. so yeah. it is pretty annoying. because i thought even before i get it all done (the IELTS) the waiting list might be already full. so yeah!

anyone who is on the same boat as i am? what are your other plans? do you plan on rerouting your plans towards becoming a USRN to other states? or stay here in Cali, challenge the LVN and look for school who offers the program that the CA BRN wants us to retake? please get intouch with me. thank you!

God bless!
