Electronic stethascope question

Hi I'm starting the nursing program in March at MCC. I was wondering if there is anyone who has already started or graduated that bought an electronic stethoscope. I am deaf in one ear and I tried the Littman Cardiac III from my friend and I could not hear the sounds. Any help would be great. I have checked and there is not any stores that carry the electronic models to try out. The only advice I have been given is that the electronic model might be a little heavy to wear and if someone already has one and finds it comfortable your input would be great.

Thanks,

I am a nurse and I use an electronic scope. I love it. I don't have a hearing problem though, fyi. It isn't any heavier than my old Card.III. I do have a friend who has hearing problems and she bought hers for that reason and it works well for her.
