Elcentro fall 2017

I know its super duper early.. I'm still in the process of taking my pre reqs.. I still need biol 1406 & bio 2401 I made a B in engl 1301 & A in psyc 2301.. I plan on taking bio 1406 in fall & bio 2401 in winter semester. Im taking as many supporting classes as I can to rack up on the extra points. I currently attend collin but they have so many more requirements than el centro so in the event i do not get accepted into elcentro the following semester I will apply at collin.. I still need Hesi & all my shots along with cpr.. anyone in the same situation? Or just getting the process started?? I figured I'd start a thread to help us all get over this together.. feel free to comment advice, concerns or questions :)

Oh wow! You were so close! I hope this time works out for you. This will be my first time applying and I hope to apply with 30 points.

does anybody know once you get accepted into the program, how is the schedule like?

My friend just got in and at orientation she told me you pick a number out of a cup at random and that's the order they go in when choosing where you want clinicals. For the labs she said you have 2 different days to choose from (which works best with your schedule) and then lecture, everyone is doing that on the same day. I'm sure the dates and times will probably change when a new nursing class starts. This just gives you an idea of how the program is laid out.

And clinicals are 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off 1 days a week .. there are 4 test that everyone take all at the same time on the same day .

So I turned in the immunization requirements last night and got an email today that I am in compliance. It's such a huge relief, because last time around I couldn't apply because of not finishing my Hep A series. I took the HESI for free at DNI ( got 90 for English, a/p 92 and math 92) I am retaking it Jan 26th at el centro.so I think that brings my total to 38. I am just worried because it seems like el centro is impossible to get into. Are y'all applying to any other programs as well?

Last semester asking as you had the hesi score you basically got in I think the lowest points were 21 accepted .. if you can pass the hesi you good .. I'm applying to tvcc mountain view and elcentro ..

I took my HESI today and got a 90 in math, 92 on A&P and a 86 in reading. I will be applying to the program with 30 points unless I score higher on the next exam I have scheduled. Good luck everybody!! I hope to meet everyone soon!

Congrats I'm headed there in the morning

I've just finished my application with 31 points, so I'm right there with you! Hopefully we make it in! Best of luck!

Gosh I wish the 31st would hurry up and get here I'm going crazy I've had everything turned in since November I just wish I knew my fate. The only thing that is saving me right now is that I have most of my BSN courses complete. I'm praying for everyone, best of luck to all.
