ELAC Nursing program 2017

I got in as well! :) I'm so excited! So I went ahead and registered in those classes as well. Just in case! So, just to clarify, will the lottery determine if we start this Winter/Spring 2017 or Summer/Fall 2017? Is there a huge wait list? Do you guys know?

congrats! Yup, cause it says "All eligible applicants will be selected by lottery and names will be placed in the semester according to their lottery number". But I am not sure about wait list:/ I thought we already got it, why is there another wait list?

When I met with the nursing counselor, he said that there was a 2 year long wait list which is why I'm confused as to our start date. Will it be 2017? Or 2018? I guess we will find out soon enough! December is upon us!

As far as I heard there isn't a wait list for the RN program at ELAC. This is what my friend told me who just recently graduated from ELAC.. He told me ELAC doesn't have a wait list and those who don't get accepted have to keep applying every year and the wait list is for the LVN-RN bridge (which is stated on ELAC website). My friend can be wrong though.

Omg! Okay, that's so good to hear. I must've misunderstood the counselor! So excited! Hopefully we hear from them early December rather than later! I felt like the whole acceptance process was brutal and long!

Hi! I just noticed you got accepted into the program, congrats! I am planning on applying next semester, however, I wanted to know your GPA and grades you received for your prerequisites if you don not mind me asking? I would really appreciate it :) Thanks!

My stats are as below:

overall GPA: around 3.5 ish

science GPA :4.0

TEAS: 80%

I think ELAC has a random lottery system, so I think as long as your GPA is not too bad and TEAS is above the required passing percentage you will have a equal chance as everyone else:) good luck!

Overall: 3.4

Science GPA: 3.7

TEAS: 85%

^ I agree with @Vivianliu! As long as you meet all the requirements listed on the pre-req/requirement paper , you'll be fine!

have you got your start date yet? I was told my start date will not be Spring. Are you going to try to take the classes we registered in?

Is anyone in this thread currently in the nursing program? I had a couple of questions about the warning status.
