The going GPA on prereqs is 3.77. That could go to a 4.0, or down, depending on the applicants for any given application period. I believe the have 110 slots each semester.
The TASP is no longer taken. I believe it is the TSI now. As for the TASP, I didn't find it very difficult. That all depends on your test taking skills, what you recall from what you've learned, etc. I'm not sure how the TSI is.
Good luck.
Thanks so much for the info.

The TASP was replaced with the THEA. I should know I am a veteran at taking it 11 years and counting. I know dont say it!!! Anyway you can go to WWW.thea.com and get information about the test. I dont know much about El Centro except they refuse to take my Chem and want me to take algebra.... Good luck to you

Hi there...
Just thought I would make a suggestion. Have you looked at Brookhaven's new program? It is quite a bit different on it's entrance stipulations and there is alot of emphasis put on your interview and support course completion instead of just your GPA. If you are intersted, the site is www.bhc.dcccd.edu, then click on the "N" for nursing program. Also, another advantage is that it is only 16 months.
