EL CENTRO ADN 2012

Is anyone applying to el centro adn program for spring or fall 2012? I am applying for fall and would like to know how many points everyone is applying with :)

I just got accepted to El Centro Spring 2012. The lowest they took was 14 this time.

Does north lake take the lower points? Bc id rather go to el centro

I don't think they give the lower points to North Lake. The people with the higher points get their first choice, whichever it may be. The lower points accepted get what's left, which could end up being where they wanted to be in the first place. My first choice was el centro, but I don't know if I got there because of my points or if that's where the spots were left. I hope that helps!

im kind of nervous bc i retook all my prereqs to get a better grade and i hear all of these horror stories that they denied ppl bc they accidentally looked over the transcript wrong.. do you know if this happens alot or you can fix it?

Hi! I'm applying with 14 points. 6 points from the Hesi, 5 from GPA and 3 from support courses. I am not anticipating getting in. I only took the Hesi just today - 92.8 average for all of it, but I'm afraid that isn't enough. I'm taking microbiology this semester and chemistry in the summer. I plan on applying to El Centro again and to Brookhaven for Spring 2013 if I don't get into Mountainview or El Centro for Fall 2012. My preference is El Centro, but I would take North Lake in a heartbeat!!

I was taking the hesi too! But I was only taking the vocab and ap sections bc I didn't do, that good the first time.I am applying with 14 pts too but my hesi score is only an 89.9 so they would take u over, me ..im really nervous

I'm apply for the fall at El Centro. North Lake will be my 2nd choice.

If I've added everything up right it looks like I have:

GPA - 5 pts

Support Courses - 4 pts

HESI - 6 pts - Retaking this soon to see if I can get higher

Current Health Care Related Experience - I SHOULD get 2 pts

So with these numbers it looks like I have 17 points if they include my healthcare experience. I want to make sure I take the HESI one more time before I send in my application. I was not in the best of situations last time I had taken, so I'm hoping to max out my scores better this time!
