EFSC Class of 2022 (Fall 2020 Start)

Published

Hello everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us who have applied for Fall 2020 admission into EFSC’s ADN program. I know there’s a lot of uncertainty with everything right now so I hope this serves as a way for us to share concerns, thoughts, and info.

Hi! I applied for the Fall term of 2020 as well. I’m really anxious to hear back.. have you heard anything about when they will be sending out the letters?

I actually called the Melbourne Health Sciences office on Monday to find out more about when we will be notified. I was told to expect admission decisions about 12 weeks from the application deadline which was extended from March 15 to March 30. So, that means we will likely have to wait until the end of June to find out. Just hope we find out good news after having to wait so long!

WOW! 12 weeks! The waiting sucks.. it also sucks that I wanted to wait until I find out if I got accepted into nursing before I apply to phlebotomy which the deadline is June 1st. I hope we both get in! What was your TEAS score if you don’t mind me asking? And how many letters of rec did you submit?

My overall TEAS score is 92.7 with 100% in the reading section. I have a 4.0 in pre-reqs. I only submitted one really strong letter so I'm hoping with everything considered that's good enough. What about you?

WOW!! That is really good.. I did bad on my TEAS section. I got a 75 in the reading section which is only 1 point above what they were requiring.. so I’m not too confident about getting in. I submitted 4 really great letters of recommendation & I have a lot of experience so I’m hoping they look past the TEAS score!!

My GPA is a 3.7, I have my A.A. & I graduated efsc from a different health care program. The only thing bad on my application was my TEAS score which is so worrying. You will for sure get in though!!

Your GPA is great and being able to submit four letters is amazing. Since you already graduated from an EFSC health care program, I don't think you'll have any issue getting into the program! TEAS is only one of many things they consider so you shouldn't worry about it.

Thank you, I hope so! Your GPA and grades are awesome, I am really happy about that for you. Best of luck, Praying we both get in. Keep me updated and Good luck! :)

Hey guys so my TEAS was an 82 ( 90 in reading) I have a BS in Psych, 2 recc letters,3.5 in the pre reqs. I also have all the support courses completed minus intro to healthcare. Good luck to us. I wannna get in so BAAAD

Your TEAS score is really great & so is your GPA. You having your bachelors is another plus for you.. did you complete a different class in place for intro to health care, or you just haven’t completed it yet?

Hey guys! I’m applying for this fall as well. Do you know how they calculate your GPA for prereqs? I had taken AP 10 years ago and did bad. I then retook it 3 years ago with an A. I wonder how that factors in. Also, did anyone hear how clinicals would work with covid in the mix? I have a prior BA with a TEAS of an 80. If they give second chances on my AP, my prereqs will be a 4.0. I had 2 letters of recs with no prior medical experience. This is the only school I applied to so I am praying I get in.
