Education Question

Good day ladies and gentlemen!

i'm sorry to butt in but I'm new here and am looking for some information:

I am looking for a cheap/free classes in sw michigan to get your CNA,

I have 7 years of exp. working with medically fragile folks with DD. However since it is not formal training I'm not holding out much hope. I am still working on my nursing prereq, so I have been looking (w/o resolve) to find an adult care facility or an aid at a hospital that could use me on the weekends. (since it will be a while until I'm done and we can't not have 2 incomes for that long!)

At this time I haven't come across facilities offering to help gain education. Do any of you have an idea?

I'm getting pretty desperate- I've even considered the Olympia programs

How are those programs recieved in the Nursing community?

Thank you for your time

The only place that I know where you can train for free is a facility in Waterford called Canturberry on the Lake. The training is for two weeks 40hrs per week. After the training is completed you can take your CNA exam. I don't have the phone number but I am sure if you call information you will be able to get it. The street name is Hatchery. Good Luck:wink2:
