ED Technician

Hello,

I am in a part time evening RN program and just accepted a position in the ED as a technician. This is my first time working in a hospital and as a technician. I would like to read up and learn as much as I can prior to orientation.

Any books and/or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much!!

Thank you. I've been a dental assistant for 20yrs. So I'm moving to a completely different realm. Quite nervous and excited at the same time.

Show off your work ethic and make them want to never let you go. :) Be sure to tell the nurses if you see abnormal vitals. I worked with techs who were great at taking vitals, but terrible about telling anyone about fever, tachycardia, etc.
