ED computer systems

What EDIS are you currently using? What were you using prior? How many yearly visits does your ED have and how many inpatient beds?

We are currently using Medhost, which is great, but the hospital inpatient side is going to Paragon. We are wondering if there are any other out there currently using Paragon inpatient and Medhost ED! Also, anyone using Paragon EDIS in a larger hospital setting (350+) beds greater than 50,000 visits yearly how is it going?

Thanks!

We use meditech as well. I thought it was a joke when I first saw it as a student hahah

Wow can't believe the faculty I work at isn't the only hospital still using Meditech. The facility actually "upgraded" and lets just say I don't think it's an upgrade, more like a down grade.

I am working a contract job that is using paragon. I definitely like epic better!!!

My friend works at hospital that uses Paragon - It has been a huge nightmare for them. And she talks more about Paragon issues than patient care issues. She said its difficult to see any documentation done in other areas ( such as ER) and she cant see physician notes in it. She actually said she cant see what she has previously documented without printing the chart out.

We use soarian in our ER and impatient - no trouble for floors to see what we document, interventions, radiolog, and any given meds.
