Or maybe I should just apply to both :chuckle ?
I'm looking for information, impressions, whatever, that you all might have of these programs. Is one easier to get into? Does one have a significantly better reputation? That sort of thing.
I'm currently at Etown finishing prereqs and I like it a whole lot but I don't want to be foolish since both schools are within commuting distance for me. My GPA will just make me a category 1 applicant at Etown, is that competitive?
I'm only interested in two year programs right now. Maybe you all know an even better one with commuting distance of Bardstown?
Thanks!:heartbeat

I live in Louisville. I DO NOT recommend JCC in louisville. It is an AWFUL school. I went there straight out of high school. I graduated from a private high school with a great GPA. I went to JCC and maintained my GPA and got the majority of the pre reqs out of the way and applied to their nursing school. The way they let people in there is based on a points system according to your gpa or ACT score, your pre req classes you have passed and so on. I had above average points and the director of the nursing program told me I would have NO problem getting in. Well, they sent out their admissions letters and I was on the wait list. When I asked some fellow students who had the same thing happen they told me it was because people weren't graduating from the nursing program. JCC...not a good program.
I have a friend who attends the nursing program in Etown and she LOVES it. I have heard many great things about the program there.
I am attending Galen in Louisville in October which is another option.
