I was thinking about taking two nursing classes at some point this fall to be able to finish up sooner. I have already taken four nursing classes. However, I think this would be nearly impossible if they were two challenging classes. I am wondering what are your thoughts on the easiest and most difficult nursing classes at OU?
I'll start... the easiest class thus far is gerontology. The papers are easier and short and no quizzes are required.
The most difficult/time consuming class for me has been health assessment and promotion. Some of the quizzes were hard, and although the papers didn't have to be long and were mostly assessments, I felt they took a long time.
I'm excited to hear everyone's responses!

I agree that gerontology was easy. I also thought community, diversity, and evidence were not difficult. I did not care for family it wasn’t difficult although the TA made it miserable. I really think the TA can make or break the classes. All of the courses that I have taken seem to have vague directions and mid-week there is clarification or changes to the assignments which I find frustrating.. I have not taken leadership, assessment, or excellence yet. I am interested in any feedback on any of the three classes. I have found all of the electives that I have taken to be more organized than the nursing courses.

4510 sucks. 4560 gerontology isn't bad.

Leadership was difficult. Hopefully they have worked the kinks out and it will be better organized.

So far, none have been difficult. However, 4520 is the most time consuming. And, the TA makes a huge difference. So, what might seem like an easy class can ultimately result in a less than desirable grade.
I think I'm taking leadership in August, from what I've read on this board it sounds like it's difficult.
Thanks for responding!

I think leadership was the most difficult course for me. I didn't do horribly in the course, it was just difficult.
What made it difficult, the TA or the workload?
For me it was a combination of the assignments, TA, and the fact that I wasn't working in a hospital (went straight from my ADN to this BSN program). Almost all of the assignments were writing about personal experiences and/or interviewing coworkers/managers. The TA wouldn't respond to any emails and when she did her answers were vague or unrelated.
