A question for you all--
Which CRNA schools offer the early decision option?
Just figured that I'd ask the discussion board. I have gotten such good advice from you guys already. Thanks.

It really depends upon what you mean by early decision (How early?).

He will have to clarify specifically, but I believe he was asking which schools selected a few RNs for their early interview process (leaving the rest of the slots to RNs who did not meet the criteria to be interviewed early).
He also could be asking about which schools would be admitting students more than one year early.
Okay,
I should have written that post more clearly. What I meant is this. I know of one school, Middle Tennessee State University, which allows some people to apply early as long as they are willing to hold their place with a deposit of 3500.00. They offer this option to students that have good GPA's and good references. Basically, it lets those that are dead set on that school to hold their place when they interview like 2 months before the "traditional" selection occurs. Just curious to see if there is any other schools like this out there.

I honestly don't know of any that do early admissions. I don't think they would advertise it if they did though. Some schools do what is called "rolling admissions," meaning they interview and admit on a continuous basis. You would have to contact the specific school for this information though. I think there are a couple of schools up here in PA that do it this way. I think Gannon University does rolling admissions if I'm not mistaken. I can't remember the other one at the moment
Quite honestly, I think it is hard to pick a school that has early admissions. I'd be happy to get into any CRNA school whether I'm admitted early or not. It's so competitive that I really didn't see this as a factor.
good luck!

If I am not mistaken, Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, CA offers early admission for students with high GPA/test scores. They allow some students to complete the non-clinical courses ahead of time -- it is all on the web site.
