Dubai

I'm a male RN from Canada with two years experience, primarily in emergency and general medicine. I'm thinking of travel nursing within the next year, with particular attention towards Dubai.

I have several questions.

A) How is the salary? From my research, I can expect to gross $2500-3000/month (U.S) tax free along with free accomodations. I've read that salary depends on the agencies and hospital you work at?

B) Are there any downsides to being a male working in the nursing field in Dubai?

C) How is the nursing practice compared to Canada/U.S?

Thanks!

And i would add my question, why is Dubai better option than USA,as i heard they dont offer often free accomodation and salary isnt so good 1000-2000$ and thats why i heard now all they nurses leaving for USA and Canada,i am not sure but i have read something they will raise salaries and provide free accomodation for all nurses to make them stay, maybe something know more about this.Anyway it looks like nice destination but by all i have see i still dont get why is it better than USA

Some people like the option of living and working in another country and being a RN is a good way to do that. With retrogression there are not many foreign nurses at the moment making their way to the US although for some things are moving forward. If you look at threads in other forums on here many US nurses are fed up with how management treats them and leaving the profession. There isn't a shortage of nurses in the US but a shortage of nurses willing to put up with conditions. There is a difference

Ok i understand wish to live in foreign country but on the other hand i am reading how all nurses curent in UAE wish to go to USA and Canada coz of better money and chance for progression,so thats what confuses:)
