drug screen

Hello!

I was offered a job with Summit Health, in Northern California. I am moving in 10 days! Upon my arrival, I have to do a drug test. Now, comming from Canada, we don't have those kinds of test as part of employee selections...so I have a few questions.

What kind of testing will they do? Blood? Urine? Hair?

I don't have anything to hide because I don't do drugs, however, I was exposed to second hand marijuana smoke several times out of my control (concerts...)

So if someone could tell what type of test is done, that would be greatly appriciated and would relieve some tension. Thank you.

They most likley will do a urine test but they may do a blood test. If you didnt physically smoke it yourself dont worry about it it wont show uyp if you beathed it in through your nose. I dont smoke pot either but my ex roomate did and i aksed my doctor if it would show up on me in a drug test and he told me exactley what i told you

Usually the drug test (urine) is done for controlled substances only. You fill out a form disclosing any and all drugs you might be on or have taken recently. As long as you have a script you'll be OK. But a warning: the Tylonal you have in Canada (I think it's called Tylonal 3) will give you a positive result. So, with don't take any or bring a bottle with you to show the tester.
