Drexel/Villanova Interviews

Hi!! I'm new to this website and haven't seen any info on personal experience with Villanova or Drexel interviews. Has anyone interviewed @ these specific schools? What am I to expect clinically for the interview? The woman who called to set up my interview for Villanova (through Crozer hosp) told me to expect clinical questions. I'd really appreciate any help you could give!!! I'm 7p-7a tonite so give me some good stuff to keep me awake!!! Thanks!!

I PM'd you.

Picuscott,

When is your interview? I am a Drexel SRNA in my first year. I'd like to help if you haven't interviewed yet.

hey RNNJ, I will be starting drexels program in jan 09 and will be starting my core classes this jan. any advice on classes that you would suggest definitely getting out of the way before starting the program. I can take up to six!

feel free to PM me.

thanks.

Hi TonyCCRN:

I am in the same situation you were last year. I will be starting Drexels program in January 2010 and I want to start taking my core classes right away. Any advice on what classes to take or not to take due to instructors. I heard that if you take too many core classes you will not get 100% of the financial aid. Is that true?. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

you must not have enough posts for PM's yet. when you do, PM me.

tony

Hi TonyCCRN:

How many posts do I need to get PM priviliges. Thanks for your time.

Saturno,

I start Drexel Jan 2010 as well. Nice to meet you!

Have you taken any of the core classes yet?

Laurie

hello Brooke1984:

I can not send PM yet. My stats are the following: 4 years ICU experience, CCRN and GPA 3.87. Thanks.

Hello, Laurie:

Nice to meet you too. I have not taken any core courses yet. I registered for Physiology the next quarter. What courses have you taken? When was your interview. Thanks.

Hey Saturno,

I've taken Ethics and Confronting Issues. Taking biostats this spring.

I interviewed back in September. Just chipping away at these core courses. Will be so nice to be done with them before the program starts.

I hear the Physio is pretty tough...

Congrats to all of you that gotten in. that's awesome!

I have my CRNA interview next month and I am so nervous... I am so not the typical applicant, still in the ICU (one day per week as a per diem) and work in another facility's ICU on occasion as an agency RN, work part-time in a PACU, and work agency in a very busy ER. Overall, I work 60+ hrs week in a critical care setting...I am so nervous that I will be looked down upon in my interview b/c of all of this. (Used to work full time in an ICU before I went agency). I have shadowed an CRNA and work with them in my PACU, so I know this is what I want to do. Just very nervous!

Do schools ever look at one's graduate grades... I have a MS in engineering and did this before going through an accelerated program. Did well in that, but still very nervous. Any advice?
