Waht is the average age of the students in the ACE program? Also, are there a lot of students from out of town?

Well I will be 22 when I enter the program, from what I was told I am going to be one of the younger people in the program. The advisor told me that most people that apply already have completed their degree whereas I won't be finished with my first degree until May. I don't know if that really answers your question, but I'm sure the advisor would tell you a more exact figure.

Is anyone in the Drexel Ace Program from out of state? I've been wanting to know if they charge an out-of-state fee in addition to tuition cost for the ACE program. Please advise! Thanks!

my roommates and I are out of state students that will be in the spring 07 program. There are no out of state fee's because it is a private school.

anyone starting the program spring 07? where are you living? also, my roommates and I most likely won't have a car in philly, is a car absolutely essential because of clinicals?

One thing I noticed about these threads are the accepted students don't return to share their experience. Is it because they are too busy or they dropped out? Which one is it? lol. I would love to hear how it's working out.

And the answer is......Busy as Hell...:)Its working, currently in the 3rd quater. We lost alot of people in the 2nd quater, which is known as the weeding out quater. I just studied my ass off so I wouldnt fall into the statistics. Anyhoo, off to sleep for clinicals tomorrow.

So do you know why they dropped out? Was it too hard for them?

I will be attending the ACE Program next month. I am just looking for anyone who has or will be attending.

Thanks!

Hi,

I will be an ACE Student next month and I am very nervous and scared.

I would like to meet people that will be starting the program with me :)

I am trying to get an honest opinion from people, so that I will know what to expect.

I look forward to hearing back, even if it isnt good news, maybe you can give me some advise! :)

Thanks!

Krista

Hi Krista,

I am starting the ACE program next month as well. Its creeping up quickly on us isn't it? I'be been studying for the First Aid/CPR class I have to take. And I just orded some math book we need to have complete by the time we go to orientation.

I have heard a lot of mixed reviews of the program.

If you ever wanna talk about it, I am currently trying to get a "support group" if you will of ACEers. I hear it is beneficial to have a small study group to help with the work load. Where are you from?

You can PM me here or feel free to email me at sjugradgirl at aol dot com. or use the same user name for AIM.

Talk to you Soon!

Jwan

Hi Krista and JdNNurse2B,

I am also starting the program in September. I just moved to Philadelphia last week from Lebanon. I also just ordered my uniform. I never knew it could cost that much. I also ordered the math book we have to review.

I'm very nervous and anxious about starting the program. I feel a little at ease knowing that I finally found two people that are going to be going through the same thing as me.

I just graduated in May from Penn State with a BS in Life Science. I was going to go to medical school but I changed my mind and decided to pursue nursing.

Feel free to email me and obtain my aim screenname.

Looking forward to hear from you soon
