So,
We are being tested the first day of school on some basic nursing principles like wound irrigation and stuff. Which is all fine but they are asking us to know how to empty and remove JP, Hemovac and penrose drain. We were only taught how to remove penrose (which I forget because it's not published in any of our textbooks). But we were never taught how to remove any other drains and I cannot find information about this anywhere!
Can someone please explain to me the procedure for removing these three drain types? I am so stuck and frustrated because there is no info anywhere!

Good luck!
Thanks A TON! This is EXTREMELY HELPFUL! You are absolutely AMAZING!
Would you happen to also have info for penrose drain removal? :)
