Nov 7, 20187 yr Hi, just wondering if any body has heard anything in regards to their Fall 2019 admission?(Douglas College Nursing BSN RN Fall 2019)
Nov 13, 20187 yr I finished in Summer 2017 as well and my gpa is 3.2. Does being in the academic foundations for pre reqs make a difference in getting in? I heard that if you are in foundations you get higher priority so im hoping that helps me!
Nov 13, 20187 yr According to Douglas's BSN page, it states under Admissions:"* Effective Winter 2019 - Those students who are accepted to and complete the Academic Foundations for Potential Nursing Applicants program will receive priority admission to the BSN. Applicantions will be pooled based on semester of completion of admission requirements. Of the students who completed in the same semester, those students in the Academic Fountation program will receive higher admission priority than those who are in a different program."They used to not use it to determine priority but I assume that the waitlist is so long that this change had to be implemented. Good luck, I hope you hear back!
Nov 20, 20187 yr I haven't heard anything yet either. I am guessing we will hear the very end of November or the beginning of December.I finished Summer 2017. From what I understand it will be mostly Winter 2017 students getting in and then potentially some of the higher GPA summer 2017 students will get in if there is space. I had a reasonably high GPA so I am hoping I will make the cut -.-"
Nov 28, 20187 yr I am dying to know! It's officially been 8 weeks since applications closed so we should know soon?!
Nov 30, 20187 yr Hi everyone! I finished my pre reqs in Summer 2017 with a 3.1 GPA hopefully we'll hear from them soon!!!
Dec 7, 20187 yr Has anyone heard back yet?Nothing yet! I called the other day to the registrars office and they said that my application was still pending review but they had no idea when it might be reviewed.
