I'm applying to a few nursing programs in the Spring and I'm wondering when I should take the TEAS? Do most people wait until all the prereqs are finished? Does it matter?

Well it depends on if the schools you are applying to use the TEAS as a pre req for getting in.
Like a lot of the CSUs need the teas done before you apply, that way you turn everything in as a packet. Some schools want you to apply and then they offer the teas to you and you have to turn it in before a certain date. Some schools make you take teas after you have been admitted to their program. It all depends on how the program your applying to wants you to apply

I am actually taking the TEAS while I am finishing up my pre-reqs, I plan to take it in December and I will be finished with pre-regs in the Spring/Summer.
Yes, as I am taking it at the end of this month and I am already done with all pre reqs for ADN programs and one BSN program. This is my last set of pre reqs for all BSN programs this fall. I am getting the teas out of the way so its one last thing to do when scrambling to apply for all these schools.
If you can, get the teas out of the way early. Not only one last thing done but also if you get a bad score you can retake it in a good amount of time.
