Does LPN school effectively prepare you for the NCLEX-Pn?

Ok gang, I just came back from a bookstore and was reading some prepatory books for the NCLEX-PN and I read some of the sample questions and guessed every single one of them WRONG.

Granted, I haven't even started LPN school yet - but hopefully you don't have to cram in LPN school because if you cram you won't retain your knowledge.....

The sample questions scared the crap out of me. There seems to be so many trick questions on the NCLEX-PN. Do LPN schools effectively prepare you for the test itself?

PLEASE help! I love you guys all so much for all the support!

you shouldn't be concerned about this. nursing school is going to prepare you for the nclex-pn exam and how to answer these questions properly. the questions are called application questions are designed specifically to see if you are able to apply nursing fundamentals to the situation. they are not questions of just knowledge. you don't know any of these fundamentals yet, so how can you expect to answer the questions correctly? there is a lot of thinking that goes into answering these questions. because you haven't starting learning any of the fundamentals of nursing you are missing a big chunk of what you need to know in order to answer the questions correctly. so, chill. continue to enjoy your time off. time to study and learn is coming soon enough. get your notebooks organized and ready for your first day of school. if you want to do something productive, you might start reading through an anatomy book.

you should be hanging out on the student nurses forums which is where the student nurses discuss this kind of stuff. there is a specific forum there for lpns as well.
