Last week in my nutrition class, our professor told us that we should never give a renal patient orange juice because it is very high in potassium, and they don't have the renal function to get rid of it. I know potassium is not something to play around with, so I was thinking "My Lord, what if I forget something like this as a nurse one day?" Do you ever have thoughts like that?
