Does anyone know of any places in Miami, Florida that is hire new grad Lpn's?

I agree with TheCommuter, your prospects will be better outside of south Florida. If you need to stay in the area, then I suggest applying to every LTC/SNF within a reasonable driving distance. I would also recommend considering part-time and PRN positions as well as nights, afternoons and weekends. These less desirable shifts can be difficult fill and a facility that doesn't prefer new grads might make an exception for someone willing to be flexible.

Broward county jails. They like new grads and that was my first Lpn job. Also telephone triage. Was hired shortly after the jail. Also like new grads from what the manager told me. Good luck!

I have to COMPLETELY AGREE with The Commuter. I was born and raised in Broward County. I moved to North Central Florida last June, after graduating the LPN program. When my father-in-law was in the hospital a few years back, at Memorial Hospital in Hollywood, the RN told me that I am going to have better luck finding employment out of South Florida BECAUSE of the population issue & Dade County's population is MUCH MORE than Broward's. You have HUNDREDS of people applying for the SAME position that you are and most of them are going to be more qualified than you are. I am located about an hour north of Gainesville and it took me 1.5 months after graduating to find employment at a SNF. YES, some places wanted that 1 year experience but most were willing to take on new grads. The population up here is MUCH less than in South Florida, which DOES make it easier because not everyone in this small population is a licensed medical professional. Finding employment is easier when you're no longer in South Florida.
