Does anyone know how fast NY posts your license number?

I took the NCLEX yesterday, I was sure I failed, but tried the Pearson Vue trick and it is saying I passed...I keep checking NY State Licensing site and a nursing license number isn't listed for me yet, anyone have an idea if NY is fast or slow about getting around to issuing a license??? Thanks!

Usually within 7-10 days. Mine took exactly 10 from write to post.

I wonder why it takes so long? My friends in AZ had their license number posted on AZ SBN site the next day! Can I get any other official results quicker, other than paying for my unofficial results through PV in two business days? (I tried the PV trick and it is showing I passed...) Hope so, so scared and nervous...

If this information is not posted on their website, give them a call.

Just how long it takes them to process things, I guess. I'd wager it's because they actually have someone checking it by hand, and AZ has automated the process more than we have here in NY. Some states are just faster than others, and NY isn't near as bad as it could be - from what I've read here, California is notorious for being slow, which really drives their NCLEX takers nuts.

There's nothing faster for us here in NY than the unofficials, really. Aside from the PVT trick, of course, and you said you did that one already. If the PVT came back good, though, I wouldn't worry. You've got this. :D

I haven't seen my name posted yet, and I took it 4 business days ago. One of my friends took it before me, and her name was posted in 6 business days.

I called the NYS office of professions today to ask about if a license was issued in my name, and they said they are about a week behind. Hope this helps

Hi everyone:

Has anyone recently passed the NCLEX and gotten their license from NYS? I took and passed the NCLEX a week and a half ago. I have the notice from NYS with my picture saying that I've passed the NCLEX but no license # yet. I've tried calling the office but they are not even picking up the phone now! I'm stating in my cover letters that I've passed my NCLEX but would love to have my license in had. Anyone in the same boat?

Thanks!
