I do. As a survivor and for those in my family who didn't. Until there are cures.

Friday night was our Relay. This was my 9th year to participate. My uncle died 8 years ago at the age of 33 of testicular cancer. We were 3 years apart in age. My family participates every year in his memory. This year I was also the luminary coordinator. We had an awesome time. My team raised $4,700 and our county raised $113,000. We Love Relay!!

I relay as a survivor, too.

I don't -- but I certainly support those who do.

As a nurse -- and as a decent human being -- I try to "give my fair share" plus a little more to worthy charitable causes. But like most people, I find many more worthy causes than I can afford to either donate my time and money to. So, I chose a few charities to become directly involved in and hope that other people will choose those other charities that are also worthy of support.

To those of you who chose to do the relay instead of contributing to other charities, I say "Thank you" and "Keep up the good work."

I am soooo excited!! Our FIRST ever Relay for Life for our little county will be held the 29th and 30th of June and I am the Team Captain for our hospital team....we already have 22 team members, so we had to break into 2 teams!! Not bad for only have 35 employees all total!!! We have raised money from the sale of raffle tickets and a HUGE yard sale we had last weekend!! We are all pretty pumped and getting things ready for the relay itself!! My sister is a 5 year survivor of Hodgkins and in a small town like ours, anyone with cancer hits the community pretty hard and we all rally behind them!! All of us nurses know that we are doing this for THEM....the patients...the ones lost and the ones continuing to fight!!!!
