Do I study Content or do I go straight into questions: (Using Exam Cram book btw)

I don't know what to do. I am so lost on how to study for this dang thing. I popped in the cd pre-test mode and after a few questions, i was like, "I don't know any of this"... i was just guessing and guessing. Makes me wonder if I should study the book? Feels like a huge time consumer though. What do you think?

I broke the content down into sections and am doing questions on specific content and then going over the stuff I feel less comfortable with. I agree it is overwhelming! I took a couple general tests to see where I was weakest and planned my review around that. I realized I needed more review on Peds than I thought and I'm not even really planning to review Maternity.

You have to know the content to be able to answer the questions no matter how they are presented. Start with content. Move to questions. That is what most people do.

do an assessment exam, like the pre-test or any diagnostic tool to measure areas of much needed studying/revies, after which do the "needed" content review then follow it by answering the practice exams. goodluck!! :)

I reviewed content first and then moved onto questions. The content review was time consuming, but I tried not to get too hung up on everything. I tried to remember basic facts. When I moved on to questions, I would research in depth the rationals for the questions I got wrong or didn't fully understand.

Best of Luck to you! :)
