Do I loose my position as intern if i fail my nclex?

I am currently employed with the Henry Ford System as a graduate nurse, if I fail my NCLEX, does anyone know what usually happens in this case. Do I loose my job, do I keep my position and be put on probation or do I become a tech?

If you fail your NCLEX it's a pretty standard policy that you are no longer eligible to work as a graduate nurse and that you will be most likely moved into a nurses aide or a tech position. They shouldn't "fire you" but you shouldn't be able to work as a GN if you fail. Once you pass the NCLEX you will be a RN and will be able to work in that capacity.

At least that's what I remember reading on a website but now I can't find where..... Don't take anything anyone says on this website for absolute truth though. If you're that concerned about it double check with Henry Ford. Or use all the energy you're spending on worrying about passing to study for the NCLEX:p Good luck and hope you pass!
