Hi Everyone!! Just looking for opinions here because I'm new at this! I'm a new nurse I got hired to a great floor at a hospital no issues However, I'm moving out of state and I've starting the job process again. I came across this interesting pediatric medical program where basically children with medical needs go instead of regular school and it's staffed with al medical professionals and teachers. I found a job positing on the website and emailed. I didn't hear anything back. So I called and left a very nice vmail with HR, didn't hear anything back. So do I call again?? It's been about 2 weeks now. I waited a week after submiti g the email to call HR. THANKS!!!

I'd call 1 more time ... but it sounds like they aren't interested. They are probably have applications from local residents.

No. I wouldn't call again. The fact that you have already gotten their attention is enough. It takes H.R. time to go through applications, references, licensure requirements, etc. Many facilities do that even before offering an interview. That being said, they may not yet have acknowledged your voice mail or your efforts.
Some facilities can take weeks to respond, so don't lose heart. But, I would keep looking. You can always meet with them later.

I'd call again and try to talk to real live person. "No I don't want voice mail, can I talk to someone who's there right now?" Then tell them your story and get a contact #or name. You might have went down the voice mail rabbit hole. Push a little and see if it yields some results.
