Do CEU's expire?

Crazy question but do the CEU's expire at any given point -- I'm in California.

Obviously you can't use them more than once, but otherwise, no.

PS...Let me clarify that statement. You can't "carry over" CEUs. What I mean is, if you obtain more CEUs than you need for one 2-year period, you can't use them for the next one. So I guess in that sense they do "expire."

Are you a new grad? You may be exempt from CEUs for the first 2 years after you are initially licensed per the Calfornia Board of Registered Nurses.

But then again can't we use our ACLS,CPR TNCC and course of this nature over and over again? as long as we re-cert?

Sure, as long as it's a recert, but you can use each recert only once.

Right, in my state, you need 24 in 24...(renewal period)...if you get 60 that's all well and good, but when you renew, the meter starts running again and you need another 24.

You can't save them:)
