DNP-WHNP Programs??

I’m an RN looking to go back to school to get my DNP in women’s health. There are no programs in my home state (Arizona) so I am looking for recommendations for online/hybrid programs!

Thanks!

Arizona State has a hybrid WHNP Program

That’s where I was originally planning on going but when I called them this week to ask some questions about the application they told me they are no longer offering it.

Really? They’re dropping the WHNP program entirely?

I don’t have too many particulars. When I called I left a voicemail and then when they called me back they left one and all she said was they were no longer offering the WHNP but she’d be happy to answer my questions about the other DNP programs.

Wow, that’s really surprising. I know they are really focused on dementia care, but wouldn’t think they’d eliminate a program.

I would look into other online programs then for sure

I would check the AZBON. Not sure if you've considered any distance programs but they have a list with tons of schools they have approved through the board. I want to go the WHNP route so I've perused it see what some of my options may be. Best of luck. :)

Pretty sure ASU only had the WHNP route. I know NAU, UofA, Grand Canyon and PHX College do not have a WHNP program. I know UNIV of Utah, Vanderbilt, Univ of Nebraska, Duke, Rutgers, Frontier, UAB, Univ of Cincinnati, U of I Chicago, U of Minnesota, Frontier, UC Denver, Georgetown has WHNP.
