how is DNI??

Published

Hello,

I was considering relocating from Michigan to Texas in order to do an ADN and was wondering how is DNI?? I know all of the schools in michigan have really long waiting lists and I just don't want to sit around and wait THREE years to get started! By the time I did that and finished the program I would have been working on this for 5 years! I could have gotten a BSN! With all that said, does anyone have any suggestions and how is the RN program at DNI?

The ADN program at DNI is brand new, since they have just admitted their first class of students last month. Be advised that it is an LPN to RN bridge program, which means that you must be an LPN/LVN to get accepted into their RN program.

DNI also has an established LPN/LVN program that has been around for much longer than the very new RN bridge program.

Also, Oklahoma shares a border with Texas. If you would consider moving to Oklahoma City for school, there's a trade school RN program called ITT Technical Institute that offers an RN program with no waiting lists, lotteries, or prerequisite classes.

@thecommunter you don't have to be a LVN. DNI does have a generic program as long as you have the pre-reqs then you can apply. I'm not an LVN and I will be starting in May.

You might want to check the other post under DNI. You don't have to be a LVN they do admit generic students. As long as you have the pre-reqs done you can apply but they only admit a limited number of generic students each term.

kjohn,

I see you are starting with the May class. I was scheduled to start with the May class, but I have to put it off until the next class in Sept. Be sure to come back and give updates...

hello i recently applied to dni but i couldnt started in the september class because it was already filled and i need to take the hesi. my question is has anyone taken the MATH SECTIONS OF THE HESI IF SO CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW IT WAS I PLAN ON TAKING IT SOME TIME IN JULY.

I am curious about this school. I currently live in Orange County California but there is a chance we are moving to the Dallas area. I am currently enrolled in a tech type school (for lack of a better word) West Coast U in Orange County - in a BSN-RN program. I will be finishing my pre-reqs at the end of August and am set to start my "core" program at that time. I hope my classes would transfer over...Anyone attend there?

The generic adn class has not started yet, plus they haven't sent out the acceptance letter yet. How do u know that u will start in May? Just curious, because I applied since last yr, and just talked with them today.
