Discouraged

So I've had a rough time with nursing and I'm losing hope.

My school "forgot" to send in my education verification and then once they did after countless time contacting them about sent it into the wrong state. Once I did take my NCLEX I thankfully passed on my first attempt. This is where my next bump in the road comes. It seems like I have my license, but nothing to do with it. I am having a horrible time finding hospitals with opportunities for new graduates.

Does anyone know of which hospitals in nj that are more likely to hire new grads. I have applied to about 14 hospitals. I am probably being impatient but I feel like no one is getting back to me besides to tell me that I am not what they are looking for. I've been on two interviews; both before I was licensed and haven't heard back from either. I did inform them that I have been licensed. I know for both of these I did get my license to late to start when they wanted.

I have looked for open houses but they all require experiences.

I am at a lost at this point and feel like giving up.

Look outside of hospitals. Nursing homes, dialysis, corrections, clinics. How long since you graduated and how long since NCLEX?

New York/New Jersey are a tough market, especially if you have less than a BSN. As mentioned above, you need to cast a wide, wide net and apply everywhere, not just at hospitals and acute care. If you are determined you want only acute care, you may need to be willing to relocate to get that opportunity.
