Does anyone have a disaster plan for a complete power failure? Can you share it with me please?

We have a disaster plan that covers just about any disaster from fire to flood to earthquake to tornado..terrorists...you name it we have a plan for it...the disaster book weighs more than many 2 year old children! so it'd be impossible to send it to you.
Get together with your maintenance department and start at the beginning...do you have a generator? You need one. You also need plenty of flashlights and if you don't have a generator, you need plenty of extra oxygen in tanks instead of concentrators. I'm assuming you don't do vents so as long as the residents who need constant 02 have a supply you should be okay. ...remember you don't need electricity to run IV's or GTubes...I had to explain that once to a new nurse who had never seen a gtube run without a pump....just a little thing called gravity I told her..she looked at me like I was a dinosaur:lol2:
sorry for the multitude of long posts today...I had to drive 6 1/2 hours to go to a 3 hour inservice and that last cup of coffee just kicked in
