I have read several , or a couple anyway (lol) questions so far.
I have been out for 12 years, let my license lapse. For the past year or so, I have been working at getting an RN license for NC. Previously licensed elsewhere. I have completed a refresher course,,,,self-paced studies and 160 hours of clinical on a med-surg floor. There were several workshops, seminars, skills workshop and access to a great library. I have applied and hope to have my license soon. The clinical let me assess and determine if I could physically and mentally to the job and the hours, so all in all it was very helpful. There were several others in the refresher course and it is available for CEU's.

I have graduated in 2000 from a 2 year college and then went to a 4 year and completed for RN and have my license. I have been on disability for 10 years and do not know where I could get any refresher med/surg clinical courses in Buffalo, NY upstate NY. Do you have any idea where I could get my med/surg clinical refresher course done? Alot of places do not want to hire me because of a lack of experience and the last time I took my clinicals was in 2000. My license is active presently though. My email is [email protected]

my state nursing association's website has a list of places that offer refresher courses, so you may want to check out your state's.
if you received social security disability payments, you also may check out your state agency's rehab commission.
they specifically work with disabled individuals who want to return to the workforce, and offer a wide variety of services.
best of everything to you both.
