Can anyone help me out with a direct entry program? I have a 2.9 GPA with a degree in Geoscience. I have a 3.5 in prerequisites. I have not taken the GRE yet. I am planning on taking some time and doing some volunteer work at a women's clinic in Nicaragua and completing a CNA at some point. I have my eyes on Vanderbilt, but feeling like it is out of my reach. I am not a youngster either. I am 37 and have worked several different jobs in the past including home health care.
I also want to say that I have such a passion for helping others and feel like it is really something I need to do to feel complete.

GPA is a part of the greater picture. What you lack in GPA you make up for in experience, at least that's how you want to present yourself.
Best of luck, it's competitive to get accepted and competitive to stay in through three years. Best of luck!
