Just a word of caution

You're on a nursing site so the responses will be biased towards NPs. If you go to a PA site, the response will be biased toward PAs. Nothing wrong with it since it is human nature. If you go to a neutral site, the response will be so politically correct or dull that your original question about the difference might not be answered.

I guess to truly gauge the difference is to see the responses from both extremes, and the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Also keep in mind that there are a lot of misunderstandings and misconceptions on both sides about both professions.
