Did you test before gettting your bars

Did your recruiter do a Height and Weight test along with a physical fitness test (APFT) and you passed them both before you got your bars or do they expect you to work on your fitness and drill as a nurse while you are waiting to go to OBC?

I went to Meps, (for the physical which includes height and weight) first as my application that went before the Army review board included my physical findings from Meps, as well as signed my contract and took my oath before commissioning.

I will still need to go to OBC and am on Inactive Status on reserve commission but, will commission as Active Duty upon arriving at OBC, from what I hear.

Also, as far as I know, if you are not within the height/weight or tape measurements you are not eligible for service. However, in order to commission in you must be able to do a minimum of the fitness requirements. If you have plenty of time before OBC, (like me) then I suggest you do your best to meet those minimums or maximums before you arrive at OBC. It is what I am working on as well.

edit: at Meps I recall them asking if I could do a minimum number of push ups, sit ups and the run but, they did not ask me to perform or proove it. So, if I am unable at OBC then I will have just disqualified myself, I think.

If your recruiter wants to "tape" you or weigh you or have you proove your ability then possibly your recruiter wants to verify that you are able and close enough to pass the minimum fitness standards and will not be a waste of the next month, or few months, of his time and effort. Speak with and work with him/her.
