DId you know? If you recieve financial aide you can only take a limited amount of classes. So if you don't get into the program and you take some classes over to increase your GPA to better your chances, you may not be able to get financial aide. Or if you do get in they will only cover up to a certain amount of credits. I have 84 credits and I applied for the ADN and BSN and I was told that if I get accepted into the ADN program I will be cut off after 20 more credits. And BSN I can go to 150 credits. I can't even do the LVN/LPN route because I have too many credits. So if I don't get in this fall, I can't take classes over or I will be screwed. If its not one thing its another. So be careful on retaking classes to increase your gpa, you may be stuck paying on your own.:smackingf

In KY you can get 80 credit hours of fin. aid for an associates degree (my program is 72 credits if you only take the classes you have to and don't retake any courses) So I have 8 credit hours to play around with and then I'm cut off!

Hmmm? I'm in KY also AND I have a 70 some odd hr ADN program. I am also on financial aid. However, I took BIO 101 w/lab and Sociology last semester b/c I didn't think I was going to do nursing. I don't need these two classes for my degree, will I still be cut off if I wasn't actually in the program when I took them?
I dont think so. It's towards a specific degree.
