Developmental Disability Nursing

Hi, All!

I've posted in the Developmental Disability Nursing Specialty group (there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity there) and am trying to increase activity there.  I am new to the field and am looking for support, information, etc.  I was previously in the School Nurse group and found so much information and support there, I would like to build the IDD Nurse group to be a place for us to help each other.

    I am a new grad RN considering going into developmental disability residential group home nursing with a well known reputable organization in the area where I live. Is this a good idea right out the gate or do you think this would hinder my possiblities if I wanted to branch out to other things in a few years. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
