Hello, I am waiting for my ATT and know it will come soon. In the meantime I am doing Suzannes Plan. I am having extreme trouble focusing alltogether. It is as if I don't know where to begin??? Obviously I do..Suzannes plan is very clear, but I just feel anxious and discouraged whenever I pick up my book (Saunders). I just wonder if anypone else has gone thru this and if so what did you do? I must add that I have been out of school 2 years and I have now finally decided to take my NCLEX. Any imput would be welcome good or bad.... Thanks, Irish6363.

Suzanne's plan is designed to be done on it's own, if you are looking for other tips then you could end up confusing yourself even more
I didn't explain well, I mean that her plan is fine it's my brain that is having trouble. I really want to know if anone else has had this type of anxiety.

How badly do you need a job? Are you reasonably set so that you don't have the wolf at your door to motivate you? You are well aware that you let the momentum slip away by not testing soon after graduation. As each year goes by, it will only get harder and harder. If you are unconsciously hampered by a fear of failure, then adopt a new attitude. Look at this as a "practice". If you don't pass, you will get a lot of the negatives out of the way and will know what to expect. The second worst thing that can happen is to fail and have to repeat. The worst thing that can happen is that you paralyze yourself into not taking the exam at all. Put a date on your calendar and go for it. Start to study as if your life depended on it, up to that date. Plan a reward for yourself on the day following your test date. Anything to motivate yourself. For what its worth, you aren't the only person with this problem. But only you can make you do anything about it. Good luck.
Thanks,Caliotter3 you are right about the wolf at the door...I just have to get past this slump. I need to hear these words from others like yourself because noone can really understand except those of us who have gone thru nursing school and then NCLEX. Thanks for your reply it was with some real thought behind it and sooooo true. I am going to implement some of those ideas today. I find that what happens is my thoughts are disorganized and then my time management isn't so good, equaling no progress.
