You should be able to think of a topic, and then maybe we can help with structuring the research question? No point getting ideas from us which are of no interest to you - which areas are you interested in?

I would like to see a thesis on what is really going on w/ the nursing shortage- i.e. there are plenty of nurses in the US, but working conditions have driven them away from the bedside. Dept of Labor & ANA stats bear this out.
Don't need research to know they need to improve pay and working conditions!
hey!! thanks for the idea but I'm afraid I can't use it.. My professor wants put topics to have to do with only nursing and what the students do or have experienced.. anyone else have ideas? thanks so much to hello nurse

What about a comparative study of different charting styles, including various paper and computer charting methods? What influence that regulatory requirements have in the adoption of them, and what aspect of these changes are driven by legal and litigations imperatives?

There is a great need for research on nursing career planning (to help nursing students and nurses plan for long-term satisfying careers.) How about some of these topics?
1. What factors do nursing students consider most important for choosing a first RN job?
2. At what point in their education do nursing students start to seriously consider their options for employment post graduation?
3. Where do nursing students go for information about careers and job opportunities?
4. What are nursing students perceptions of their job opportunities immediately post graduation?
5. Do nursing students have realistic expectations of their employment opportunities after graduation?
5. What are the career plans and expectations of today's nursing students? Are those plans and expectations realistic?
etc. etc. etc.
