Depression screen

Hey, I am a school nurse/health Advocate for a Head Start program and work closely with pregnant moms who are soon to give birth. We use the Edinburgh for pregnant moms for depression screening at several intervals so like enrollment, 2 weeks after having baby, and then 6 weeks after having baby. Howeve, I want to start doing family members depression scale because knowing that men can also have depression as when it comes to baby and family members can have depression when it comes to baby mom is depressed families depressed what screening would you recommend having for the family members, or partners,or Dad of the new mom. There's three of them that I I like I was just wondering which one would you all choose to screen other family members there is becks, Hamilton and the phq 7 or 9.

My understanding is that PHQ 9 (or 7) is the only one you mentioned that really works as a screening tool for people not diagnosed with depression. I think the others are intended for determining severity of depressive symptoms.
