where have you deployed & been stationed?

I would love to hear where everyone's been deployed & stationed.

I was stationed in port hueneme, ca

Deployed to sigonella, sicily/rota,spain/kuwait

Hi,

Wow, you are 24 and already have a BSN and have been stationed for three different tours? With a year between each?

How does this work? My reason is that I will be shipping to my first base soon and have three cats that I am arranging for a foster in case of trainings and/or deployments. I hadn't thought that I'd be away from them just "that" much.

lol, i went to sicily, spain & kuwait during one tour. i had a rare 2 yr active duty enlistment. we were supposed to just be in sicily for 6mos but the onset of the war in 03 extended us & brought me to rota & then kuwait. i still have 1 more yr til my BSN.....can't wait!!!!!

oh ya, right on, you're a chicagoan! i grew up in the south suburbs before I enlisted after high school. now i go to uofi in champaign (although i'm actually going to UIC down here....it's so confusing)

Well I've been stationed at Naval Medical Center San Diego.

I'm going on deployment with the USS Peleliu 28 MAY 07. We are doing a humanitarian mission in south east Asia. Not sure on the countries specifically just yet. I'll keep all of you updated!

Heya neighbor!

I went to UIC for one year and have lived in the Southwest suburbs for most of my life. Born in Chicago and lived here too. My undergrad is from St. Xav's, my Associate from SSC and I've worked at Christ, South Suburban Hospitals in the South Suburbs. Oh yeah, also took my EMT at St. James Hospital through Prairie state college in Chicago heights too!

Seems as though you and I stood on ssome of the same dirt in Sig. Not sure about you, but I miss that place. I was stationed in the ED in hospital, got there in OCT 03, were you there then?

You got there a few months after I left. I left sig new yrs eve of 02 to go to rota & then off to kuwait for the war. YES, i miss sig soooo much. Sometimes, I dream about retiring there :) However, I was in boot camp @ great lakes in '01 when you were there. good times

That is crazy, been to the same places. Ah the Navy, what a small world and getting smaller.

Diego Garcia, OUCH!! I would assume you were not "mamma3munchkins," maybe "singlehotmamma" then? I was in San Dog back in '97-'00, good times. Get a dog and go to "dog beach," kids will love it, I know we did.
