I've come to learn that I mostly pass pills and assess detox patients I do like the job BUT...

I"m afraid I will lose my skills............I did get a part time job doing some home health...which is my untimate dream...so I won't give that up...but I'm trying to decide if I should go work at the hospital...so I can work on my skills so I don't lose them. I can get oin easly as a few years ago I worked there as a LPN...................I"m in a delimia and need some advice..... :rotfl:

Well, I don't know the answer to your situation but what you are describing is the exact reason why, for generations, people have advised new grads to get a job on an acute med-surg floor (at least for the first year or so), where you do those basic skills all day, everyday, so you can become thoroughly comfortable with them and really "imprint" them in your brain. There was also at least one recent thread here about the pros and cons of new grads going right into home health (I don't know if you saw that).

Ultimately, no one can decide what's best for you except you. Best wishes on your new career! :)
